Bill, yeah same here.. always correcting these little buggers in new (to me) VWs .. I have NO IDEA WHY nearly no PO can have operating interior lights in VWs.


just clean the contacts once in a while. and unjam a jammed switch.


but... this one I found in the trunk of my 89 is SUPPOSED to be able to be locked in the 'off' position
gives me another item to add to my standard JY laundry list.

I've had this happen on several VWs, but I never realized it was a feature.  I just thought the switch has jammed in the off position!
