Shawn are you following the vanagonparts.com tire thread as well? The alloys are selling for $31 a wheel more than steel will run you. Unless you are doing offroad (and I don't think you are because you said it was for a 2WD van) and REALLY worried about bending a rim I would buy alloys over steel given the meager price difference.
