Subject: in search of instrument cluster circuit diagram
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

I'm looking for a circuit diagram for the board behind the instrument cluster, as well as the associated harness that feeds into it. The reason i ask is because what i see doesn't seem to jive with what Bentley says it should be. what years came wired with an OXS light? Which side is the OXS light usually wired to?

I have an 89 wolfsburg LE, the first 4 lights are filled and active turn signal, beams, alt, oil. The two below it have blanks in the bulb holder, but on the associated circuit board, the lower left one is physically wired (minus the resistor). However, the point it meets the harness (according to Bentley the OXS sensor wire) is actually there. What i want to do is drop an additional indicator light in this spot. I should just be able to splice into the wire, drop in and LED and a resistor, but I'd like to see if I'm missing something obvious that would prevent this.
