Now understand that I don't care if you do this BUT any dealer in the US that takes an auto stop valve off and replaces it with the older style vales and bleeder is breaking the law. When they stopped making the auto-stop valve and moved to the newer style tank no provision was given by the rail road commission who oversee the use of propane to do this. I may be wording this wrong but if you call manchester and talk with them they will tell you all about it. That said proceed at your own risk. I'm not one to do things because it's law I just like to know when I'm breaking it. ;-)

Oh well. Think I'll keep my current o-rings.An equal amount of gold is cheaper. What I will do is disassemblel the valve and lubricate the parts. Anybody know what is the proper lubricant?>>

Roger,

Take the problimatic autostop valve and throw it away.

Buy a manual valve and bleeder as 99.9/10ths of the motorhomes on the road have and be done with it.

Any crazy kid at a propane fill station will know what to do with it, it won't stick, it'll away's take the propane.

I replaced my no-go autostop with a type 2 manual valve & bleeder 4 years ago and never have had any regrets. ( why did VW take a proven product off all the Westies, and bolt on garbage?)

The cost is about 40 bucks, and your done with that problem forever.
