Seems that a US company has managed to copyright the name "Ugg" just about everywhere except Australia where the 'Ugg Boot' has been a generic term, probably originally 'Ugly', for many, many years. But the US firm is trying to stop anyone from using that description for their products. If anyone is interested in the details I can send the link. |
