Most deep cycle batteries actually have very similar AH ratings. The major difference is the construction of the batteries. Trojan has one of the highest longevity and cycling rates in the industry. Crown and Concorde and Surrette (Rolls) batteries are in the same class. Prices for all 4 in a group 27 deep cycle run from 140 to 180US depending on source. Their warranty usually runs 5 to 7yr. Well beyond the usual 1 year of the cheapest and the 2 year on the "better" deep cycle batteries. Sources in the US are usually golf cart specialists for the little ones, RV dealerships for the bigger ones, and commercial equipment distributors for the real big ones. My budget says I settle for "better" grade. Cant afford a "best". jimt On 10/15/05 5:42 PM, "Dennis Haynes" <dhaynes@OPTONLINE.NET> wrote: > Since you are moving the batteries to under the rear seat, forget the > Optimas and get some real batteries.
