Subject:   Thanks Boston Bob...O2 sensor bad
Content-type:   text/plain; format=flowed; charset=iso-8859-1; reply-type=original

I have had a strange running problem with my 86 2.1 ever since I put it together..one phone call to Bob at Boston Eng and he nailed it...A bad new O2 sensor causing rich running at lower rpm and ok at higher eng speeds...Now that is customer service..esp when he didn't even build my engine..I did...No matter how smart I think I am after 35 yrs in the VW (trademark pending) world, It never ceases to amaze me how some of the assumptions you make with these rigs can flatten your ego in a hurry...Again..Thanks to Bububabob for his free advice...and I got a lot more than I paid for trust me...
