I emailed the owner about the van and ran a carfax report on same -
he bought in 2004 from someone in Michigan.  Asking $3500 now.
Owner sent me a mechanic's report from 10/11 but hasn't responded to
repeated requests for detailed pictures (especially of the body
panels) before I travel to see.   If anyone is interested, the report
is attached. I don't think those drop outlines are oil - to regular
for that - must have been water drops from washing.
The report mentions a complete separation of the body at a left rear
seam due to rust - I don't see it on the Samba pics submitted.   I'm
gonna pass on it......
