Subject: Van-Spotting at Ardenwood Farms, Fremont, California
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

Were there any listmembers at Ardenwood this past weekend? Saw a white Syncro with very aggressive tires and a Westfalia (86 or later).

Ours was in a front parking lot (white w/pink curtains-PO's idea not ours) and later the other white Syncro moved to the same parking lot. This caused me to misdirect my stepdaughter who was giving me a ride to our van. I pointed here in the direction of what I thought was the only white Syncro in that lot til I saw its roof rack (and lack of gaudy pink curtains).

BTW, this past weekend was a harvest-type event at this vintage farm, and my family was helping grind the flour by hooking up the grinder to the PTO on our Allis Chalmers circa 1940. Hopefully my 1947 Farmall will be back in service by spring and will handle the PTO chore next fall.

The next morning my mom and I attended Wolfsburg Wickedests' show in Modesto, California. It was very nice, small show and very pleasant weather. Ours was the only Vanagon, but there were several nice T1s and T2s in attendance, including a couple of very nice T1 Single Cabs.

Donna, 1987 Wolfsburg and 87 Syncro
