Subject: $16,000 90 Westy with 170,000 miles

Makes my point nicely. I just saw (and missed the purchase) a 90 Westy with 86 K original miles advertised in the Seattle area for $8800. I imagine that is around bluebook, but i don't know. God bless ya if you can get $16,000 for it. In looking at the pictures I might pay $20,000 (have I told you I like Westfalias?) but it reinforces my contention that the worst place in the world to buy a Westy is this listserve, and the best place in the world to sell one is this listserve. If you are looking for a Westy wait until some elderly couple sells one in the want ads. Don't buy one from me because I have a thing about them and inflate the hell out of their value. Don
