Hello, I believe this charge is called a surface charge. Turn your headlights on for 2 minutes to burn this off and to get your true voltage.Maybe you have a diode out in the altenator and you are only getting a lower voltage for charging.Maybe a voltage regulator.Doesnt sound like a shortcircut that is draining the battery. If you think this is the problem, just remove one fuse at a time and see if the drain quits.Put one multi meter lead on each side of the fuse holder where you removed the fuse.If you got current, you got a short in one of the accessories that this fuse serves.Thisaccessorys still drawing current even though the switch is turned off.Dont think this is the problem though.
