Mike,

I have thought about this to, when my passat was acting like this it was the fuel pressure regulator to. It was very difficult to diagnose at the time since it passed the residual pressure tests and the spec pressure when it was running was ok. I cant remember what made me just go ahead and change it but i did and it worked. The van seems to be acting like it is flooded when its hot--my having to put the pedal to the floor to start it.

Thanks,
