Just wait until he tells you he wants to be called HAL.  Perhaps you should
let him start driving it a bit, just pulling it out of the drive and such.
Starting them early makes the hassle of teaching them to legally drive much
simpler.

For the number of times that a remote starter switch is needed, I don't think
the risk is justified.  Who can say when some curious but clueless type is
going to hit it.  A temporary, clip-on remote starter button will serve the
purpose as well.  Or, if you really want the convenience of something at the
ready, run the remote starter wiring to a connector and plug in the switch only
when it is needed.
