Merry Minuet -- Kingston Trio ---From the Hungry I,1959. Before I visited SE Asia. The more things change the more they seem the same. They’re rioting in Africa (whistling) They’re starving in Spain (whistling) There’s hurricanes in Flo-ri-da (whistling) And Texas needs rain the whole world is festering with unhappy souls The French hate the Germans, the Germans hate the Poles Italians hate Yugoslavs, South Africans hate the Dutch AND I DON’T LIKE ANYBODY VERY MUCH!! <NB it's in the song> But we can be tranquil and thankful and proud For man’s been endowed with a mushroom-shaped cloud And we know for certain that some lovely day Someone will set the spark off AND WE WILL ALL BE BLOWN AWAY!! They’re rioting in Africa (whistling) There’s strife in Iran What nature doesn’t so to us Will be done by our fellow "man" --Sheldon Hannick who also wrote Fiddler on the Roof Sung by Tom Lehrer too. I often listen to such inspiring works whilst quaffing a fine homebrew, such as 40W Stout, between bouts with the realllyyy Baaaddd work done by the installer of my motor. I am working on a finely engraved placque that reads "The parts falling off this venerable vehicle were installed by SmallCar Performance in Tacoma Washington" Also Zombie Jamboree...works well for those lighter brews and simpler repairs such as fixing the wind wings so they'll stay open above 50mph. |
