This problem is a direct result of using the screw clamps which compress the rubber a fixed amount to a fixed diameter. Spring clamps a much better solution apply a relatively constant clamping force regardless of small changes in the diameter of the hose and tube assembly due to age (my excuse) or low local temperature. |
