Fortunately, I still have access to the van for comparison purposes. It would appear that the auto trans version used just the flat floor w/o this raised venting system. My 82 Diesel van has a similar vent but it is flat front to back instead of angling upwards to the front like this one. So far it looks like I have retrofit the earlier vents to go to auto trans. Either that or cut a hole in the vent to fit the shifter console.
