He did this same kind of thing for me as well. Posted a response about stowing oversized spare tires and that led me to changing my spare from a tower on the rear 2" receiver, to the clam shell with a couple modifications. Earlier today I posted a link to pix of the first try, using the Van-Café spare mod and later tried using the same drop-hinges with the clamshell, with 2" shaved off its rear end near the hinge points, and it fits and works very well. More pix have been posted for anyone looking to stow their 215/65-16's up under the front. The tire is aired down.

In another post about headlights about 2 weeks ago, someone mentioned grounds. This was related to relayed-headlights. I was burning up the plastic headlight plug on the left (2) and had poor light on L/low beam. I ran a ground to the "firewall" and now I get much better light on both L/R and no burning plugs. Bob
