I'm 66, and was around when the splitties arrived. And now we have some younger folks who have picked up on the value of the Vanagons and joined the ranks. And as I travel about, I am always getting from the really younger crowd - late teens and twenty somethings - "Hey Dude .... cool van - like your beard, too!" They notice, and eventually that will turn into something else. Just give it time. Only thing, I can just see these young cats out driving their vintage Vanagons with one difference - my danglies are my chin whiskers - their's will be all their peircing metal - barbells, rings, chains. . I just hope they don't snag up on something! :-)
