Subject: Re: headlights - need help in Ptld OR

Whoa! This Special Issue came just in time for me. I have been so frustrated with the low output from my headlights. Sometimes I don't even think they're on, it's so dim. And in more rural areas, even highways, I tend to use my 'high'beams with apologies to those traveling the otherway. I just cannot SEE & it is a danger. Between poor light and needing new eyeglasses it's a nightmare! So - before I crank out big bucks to a place that probably doesn't know what to do - I was and am eternally grateful to this issue from the list to enlighten me ( get it? en-Light-en?? -sorry) But I am direction-ally challenged & reading how-to directions turns my brain to mush. Anyone know of a Portland OR area place to obtain materials needed? - Might be worth paying more to avoid shipping fees & potential long-distance problems..... and then a some-body who will know how to sit them properly? Can't afford too much for a helper, but I know I cannot afford a shop to do it. ...... open to suggestions - and now with Pacific Daylight Time is a few days - I will really need better light. Thanx all - Anna in Portland OR '86 Vanagon Formerly 'Gracie'-now 'Mongrel' due to such a mish-mash of interior stuff!
