I've had a few tough times starting the fridge when cold or and/or at high altitude. The one thing I've learned from trial and error in these situations is to make sure that the thermostat dial (you know the one that has the min. - max. on it) is set as low as it will go. You need to get the flame going and warm up the burner first before you turn it towards the max. position. Make sure you also pump the little plunger too to get enough air to the burner as well. Don't turn the thermo dial up to quickly or it will be too much fuel and the flame will go out. This has happened to me several times unless I give it a chance to warm up.

Good Luck!

Steven
