Hi gang,
We went camping last weekend and the fridge lit perfectly before we left.
Next morning it was out. I went to relight it and it would not light.
Normally I'd be pulling the thing out --- but I did that a month ago. While
I had it out I cleaned the combustion chamber and nozzle, checked gaskets,
igniter, wiring, cleaned chimneys etc. In short, I checked/maintained
everything I could think of --- and the fridge has worked fine ever since.
One thing that strikes me is that it was about 3 degrees celsius/39 degrees
fahrenheit last weekend --- and maybe it was too cold for the fridge to
light. Has anyone noticed this as a problem that the fridge won't light when
it's cold outside? Or does that make sense as a theory...... All wisdom
gratefully received as always.
I agree that at those temperatures it's sort of a moot point about your
fridge lighting, the spare beer in the back cupboard was nice and cold ---
but it's going to be much warmer this weekend and we're going camping again.
