My '82 had a whistle in the driver's vent window area also and I traced it down to a gap in between the seal and the primary drivers side window. You can test this by pushing the roll-up window outward (which will seal it against the outer seal race) while driving. If your whistle is caused by such a gap then one way to fix it is to cut a sliver off of a credit card or similar thin plastic and wedge it between the seal and the frame from the inside which will tighten the seal at the gap.. Fixing that whistle was one of the most satisfying repairs that I have made.. Jonathan Poole |
