Ron; I have never driven on a set of the tires you sell. I do applaud you for finding, sourcing, and selling (for a very fair price) stock sized HD tires for vanagons. All that being said, if anybody wants to throw caution to the wind, risk their life, and test drive my 2wd Westy with obviously unsafe, underrated Michelin Hydroedge car tires, they are welcome to. I'm sure they will be scared out of their minds as they blast down the interstate with freight-train like directional stability, oblivious to crosswinds, the wake from semi trucks, rain, snow etc. They are so far superior to Micheline MXT, LTX, XCA (all properly vanagon rated) or the 2 other sets of tires that came (I can't remember their brand) on the vanagons that I have owned that their is absolutely no comparison. I would rate my switch to 16 inch wheels and Hydroedge tires as the second best upgrade I eveer did to a van (behind my SVX conversion). And it is a very close second. They absolutely transform the ride and handling of vanagons. 3 years ago I had 6 guys (180lb avg) 4 hang gliders, 2 paragliders, other assorted equipment in my van and drove up and down several mountain roads in WA state. I figured I was right at the GVWR of the Westy. That was the only time I was EVER close to that weight. Rarely has my 2wd Westy ever went down the road at over 4300-4400 lbs.
