Just wondered how many of you with cruise control find that when engaged, the "CC" is always trying too hard to keep a constant speed. Mine is always varying the throttle even on the slightest incline. Forget about using it on anything remotely resembling a hill! Most other cars I have driven will vary the throttle in a way that is quite a bit smoother and seems to have a wider tolerance Consequently, I have stopped using the annoying thing until I can get it to work better (if it can be tweaked, that is).

Keith, yes, I have noticed the same on my '90 CARAT with OEM CC. I also have an aftermarket CC on my '87 Westy and it is way more accurate. More German engineering gone astray.
