I think I once used mineral spirits to remove some well-aged carpet adhesive in a Vanagon, although it still required some elbow grease. You could try kerosene, mineral spirits or (with adequate ventilation probably the best) gasoline, but don't be stupid with it. If the gas doesn't cut it, get out the grinder/sander. George |
