I have a manual 85 and an automatic Ticco 87 Vanagon for sale. Both were daily drivers and was in very good shape. Currently, they both need some work. The 85 needs a new thermostat, battery and some insturment pannel work. (It was robbed) The van was put away to make room for the 87. The Ticco conversion - the best thing anyone could do, has about 60,000 on it. The automatic transmission was rebuilt about 10-15000 mile ago. It has a good interrrior, setup in the "weekender" package. The van was a Westburg, but when I repainted it, I kept it plane. The body could use some work again. The starter is very slow and I think that it is the starter itself. It has been sitting for about 6-9 months now. Though I love the vans, and 10 yrs ago I would purchase either one of these in a heartbeat - truth be known, I'm too old/busy/fun meter pegged, etc to keep them any longer. As evidenced by their condition and lack of simple repair. I also have a ECU for a 87 waterboxer. Please email for details Larry near Rockford, IL
