Brake fluid reconditions rubber - that's why brake components last a long time.

Stop the engine and run a paper towel soaked with brake fluid along the inside of the belt. You don't need to do the whole thing as it will distribute itself by contact with the pulleys. Why purchase an additional chemical if you don't need it?
