I'm not 100% sure, but I *think* the problem is that the fuel pickup can't be removed from the Vanagon tank, and using one of these products will turn the mesh screen on the pickup into a solid barrier... This is (mostly) inference, I haven't had my tank out (yet), the list will set us both straight if I'm wrong about this.
