Subject: 1.9L Build early stages rod question
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Hi all finally decided to take the plung and build up my 1st water box. have plenty of type 1 builds under my belt but not in the know on the 1.9L little things. so here are a few of my 1st (probably in a series of) Question

1) are the type 1 and 1.9L rod bearings the same?? or are they the same as type 4? or 1.9L special? ( to me they look like type 1) 2) if i have a rod Journal size of 2.145 am i going to need a .25mm or .50mm bearing for that rod?? 3) what is the best way to clean the case? Dishwasher? (in my single days maybe, but now i choose life), solvent tank that i have, hose and water, or steam clean professional or and lastley chemical dip?

Btw the crank, rods, pistons, flywheel and any thing else that moves have been fully balanced by a professional engine builder. rods rebushed and sized. crank polished, flywheel ground.

thanks for your help Jonce
