Subject: Fridge sparker

Okay, if you've been following my tale, back in August I had an unusual fire in my Westy, the cable to the sparker in the combustion chamber of the fridge, caught fire. Fortunately I extingushed this very quickly and there was no damage beyond the insulation of the wire.

I originally tried to get the replacement from an authorized Dometic repair place. That fell through. Then (after one of our vendors mentioned the part number) I ordered a replacement through one of our online vendors.

On Saturday it finally arrived. I put it in and the fridge fired right up, without any problems or quirks. I wonder now about other folks with lighting problems with their fridges, and wonder if a new sparker would help them.
