Well - This weekend was probably the last good one [ weather wise ] to do any remaining Outdoor work up here in Upstate New York. Everyone was scrambling around finishing Lawn work looking up at the sky looking for the eventual first snow storm. As a vanagon owner I was [of course] under the van. I started the fuel line replacement project earlier this summer and did not Fully finish it. So I still had to do the little lines around the fuel filter and The line running up the the firewall, the plastic firewall connector and the line that Runs to the metal T by the distributor. I started underneath the van and worked Back to the engine compartment. All went well and I went to disconnect the Fuel line at the metal Tee and the apparently the fuel line clamp was completely Loose. [!@$!@##$!!!$#^&$&!] This is where I disconnected / reconnected during my Engine rebuild 2 [!] years ago. Errr... [whoops!] So... Hmmm... Maybe a łtactile check˛ of your fuel lines along with the occasional visual inspection Is a wise thing....
Happy Motoring!
