Merkurs didnt succumb to rust. they actually had pretty good body integrity. they succumbed to low resale value and lack of parts availability and the high cost of repair. i still see them now and then in the junkards. but rare anymore. None of them were rusted..bodies near perfect. most have been crushed already 5-8 yrs ago. yards around here turn over stock quickly. i thought the XR4Ti was a pretty cool looking car with it's dual rear wings.. chris |
