With the in-dash air conditioning system I've noticed the radio gets mounted somewhat vertical on the dash panel/cover plate that is in front of the shifter. (this when the radio hole is used up by vents). I've only seen this set up in pictures, so i don;t have any first-hand knowledge. 1. Is this a special panel/cover plate that came with the kit or is it just a "radio box" that came with the kit and bolted to the existing panel/cover plate? 2. And, could this "radio box" (with the radio removed from it) be a viable set up to mount, say, three VDO gauges in bus if the radio mounted in the ususal spot in the dash? Jeff 83.5 Westy LA,CA |
