Here is a 2.1L (long Block) with stock Digifan & cooling parts) http://www.benplace.com/amc_head/amc26.jpg Here is a 2.1L (long block) with stock Digijet & 1.9L cooling parts) http://www.benplace.com/bjp/PICT0014.jpg I see no difference powerwise in normal driving condition, only some wile climbing. Another thing, i see way more damage 2.1L (heads, rods...) than 1.9L with about the same millage (and that is fact after 55+ motors rebuilt/reseal in one year). If you are unhappy with the van (1.9), sell the van or put a Subi inside.... way more power and reliability... in my opinion... not that those engine are not good, but they are old and GOOD parts are getting dificult to get... Lately... all transmission that i see are marginal... (axle bearings, roller bearing and seal, syncro mesh... ) So investing in a Subi conversion means a rebuilt tranny. Those vans are getting old.... and that is a fact. Cheers, Ben http://www.benplace.com/ |
