Subject: Re: venting, was Re: dometic 182b question

Well, I am keeping the insulation off anyway. I am going to get a piece of magnetic sign material. The kind that may be 1.5 ft X 2.5 ft in size. Like people use to advertise on the side of their vehicle. I will apply this material with a bit of 1/2 inch thick insulation foam under it, over the outside area adjacent to the frig. This during summer daytime. If I park, I will park so the sun is not shining on the frig area.I removed all the insulation in this area, and the fiber board too. The air in this area is rather trapped, and will hang out there till it is blown outside. This willgive it a chance to passively conduct through the van wall. One question about your vent installation-How do you keep the door from blowing off while driving. I haved lost several utility box doors this way. Please send pictures of your fan. Roger
