Yes, I use the city water outside access port. I remove the assembly and
modify it. With the spring loaded door left in place, I cut the plastic
guts out of the rest so a fan can be mounted to the back of it. A pretty
small muffin fan will do fine. I use a temp switch to activate it and
take power from the lead to the main fridge fan temp switch. One of the
ones I installed the owner wanted a manual switch instead so we mounted
a small switch to the vent grill on the side of the fridge cabinet. When
you are camped with the fridge lit you simply prop open the city water
door with something.

The temp switches I use for the vent fans come on at a lower temp than
the stock one for the main fridge fan. That way the main fan comes on
less. For mounting the small fan, Goop works well to glue to plastic and
it can be completely peeled off later if need be.

If you still have the stock Westy faucet you will need to thread a plug
into the end of the line that used to attach to the city water assembly
or water can backflow out of that pipe when the faucet is used.
