Dont know if you have experience w/westy top removal.The top is heavy. Two
can do it , but 3 are needed to replace it,unless you are creative.It is
fragile. The edges are like a gram cracker. If the edge touches the ground
and are allowed to drag, It will wear the fiberglass quickley! The good
point is that this wear can be covered up with the rubber gasket.Use as
many people as possiable to remove the top to avoid cratching the paint.The
tent has 58674937254896 screws holding it in place.Decide if it needs
replacing.Cut it off if it does,and save your time.?Sounds like you dont
need these objects anyway, but do save your paint. I like the duct tape and
tarp idea.Maybe a brace half way over the hole(Strips of tape?).Roger
