Well I've owned 3 Saabs and been in more then my share of volvos and I would say the Saab seats are better and the leather seems to hold up longer but that just me. I have had to switch out the heating elements on the drivers seat on two of the Saab passenger seats though that was after 150K.

As far as finding them in the junk yard I live in the North East which is Saab country and I don't come across them much. I do however know of 2 Saab/Volvo junk yards that would have them at an OK price already pulled.

The lack of arm rests would be an issue.
