I have a good used front diff from an 86 Syncro Vanagon. I have removed the VC from it but otherwise it is in good shape. The tranny fluid that came out of it looked relatively clean (I could see through it) and the magnetic plug didn't have any fuzzies on it. It was supposed to have been rebuilt from VW a short time ago but that is just hearsay. Make me an offer (please be realistic). If someone could forward this to the Syncro list I would appreciate it.

It does not have front locker in it.
