Subject: decelerator switch?Re: Clutch Problems?

Seems no one has tackled this question. I'm going to venture a guess for discussion purposes only. Ray, don't go replacing anything on my advice. Because I'm just speculating at this point.

First, let me see if understand your problem. You're cruising along fine in say second gear. You slow down for a traffic light or a turn. You're still in second gear. You come off the accelerator and the bus slows. When the RPMS go down to 1800 or 1500 and the bus starts to buck? is that it?

My guess would be the adjustment or failure of throttle valve/deceleration/idle switch (Bentley 24.23).

I'm guessing. But what's anybody think?

Lately, I have noticed a disturbing symptom when I back off nearly completely on the accelerator (so that I'm in the lower end of the RPM range): the van "lurches" forward, sort of like what happens when you let the clutch out too quickly. This leads me to think that the culprit may be the clutch (brilliant, eh?), Or does this indicate a (hopefully less-costly) problem?
