Glad to hear that you got going again. It's not mandatory that you be able to repair your Vanagon, but I'd suggest that you carry a Hayes and Bentley repair manual with you just in case you have trouble in an area with no actual VW or Vanagon mechanics. Almost any decent mechanic can use the manuals to get you back on the road again.

> Ok, found Danny's Volks Stuff in Amarillo, they replaced the fuel filter and pump, said there is a leak in the gas tank somewhere, it is supposed to be a closed system and oxygen is getting in? They didn't have a tank, so I went on my merry way towards Tucumcari, and 60 miles out of Amarillo it coughed, just once. It did it a few more times between there and Tucumcari, so I stopped. As I was getting off the freeway, I saw a vanagon and flagged him down. He said he knows somebody that works on them and will have him call me. I got a campsite for the night, and will head for Albuquerque tomorrow morning hopefully. I know there are listers there that I may be calling on. Hopefully somebody can figure out what the heck is going on. I almost feel like throwing up my hands and going home, then I remember I sold my house!! lol > > > Barb > 83 Westy > > Never regret. > If it's good, it's wonderful. > If it's bad, it's experience. > Victoria Holt > > --------------------------------- > Yahoo!
