I really prefer the odors from clean peanut oil over the odors from used
French fry oil whether it's peanut oil, corn oil or canola oil.
Peanut oil is jus all round more readily accepted for coating exhaust system
parts.
Somebody should be testing chain bar oil and reporting back shortly on the
excellent results.
I used hemp oil on my last Vanagon exhaust  pipes and they smelled good
enough to eat, as a matter of fact I gained several pounds after coating
them.
When I ran the engine while camping to charge my battery back the squirrels,
chipmunks, raccoons and feral cats hung around for hours panhandling for
snacks.
As much as I hated to do it; I coated my exhaust system with Ceramic and
that got rid of the varmints.
