Michael,
        A bit of a bad idea.   Purpose of the cat is
to convert the unburned hydrocarbon to water and co2.
 When it does this it releases the energy as heat.
That is why when your o2 sensor or a crack in the
exhaust makes your fuel mixture too rich it trashes
the cat.   A ceramic coating may cause your cat to run
hot and shorten its useful lifespan. If smog is not an
issue for you than gut the cat and your back in
business.   gary

Just got a new exhaust system and plan to hi-temp
ceramic coat before
installing.  Does anyone know if you can coat the
Catalytic Converter?
I
have no idea what makes up the inside of these things.
 I know anything
in
the exhaust system is subject to high heat, but I
think the oven curing
temps exceed 400F.
