Mark T. mentioned to me that my mention of Titanium was in error.

...memory must have just gotten stuck on the ...ium part.

A quick look around finds:

Which mentions that Platinum, Palladium and Rhodium are the metals used.

In addition some others have potential for use with drawbacks.

Explains why the things cost so much!
