VW obtains typo domain

Volkswagen AG of Wolsburg has managed to bring about the transfer of

the domain volkswagn.com, during an action before the tribunal of the

WIPO.

The domain was lodged in the ownership of the Digi Real Estate Foundation from Panama. Volkswagen was able to point to his international recognition and to substantiate the continued existence of its trademark rights since 1949.

Because no statement of any sort was put forward from the side of the

domain owner, the tribunal had no difficulty in latching on to the arguments put forward by the complainant and ordering the transfer of

the domain.
