The 1230 500 221 & 1230 329 036 are 2 of several individual components of the Hall Unit itself. They are used on a number of Hall Units for Audi, VW, BMW and Mercedes. The Hall Unit for the Audi Quattro 4 cylinder model is 1237 011 081 (Audi/VW # 034 998 065), which also fits: 1984 Audi 4000 84-1/87 Audi Coupe 84-9/96 Audi 5000 1984 Rabbit Sedan 10/84-89 Rabbit Cabrio/Convert 1984 Rabbit Pickup 85-87 Golf GTI 1984 Jetta 1.8 GLI 85-87 Jetta GL 10/86-87 Scirocco 8Valve 87-90 VW Fox 84-88 VW Quantum 86-88 Quantum Syncro The 5 cylinder only version that comes with the 1237 011 081 Hall Unit AND the 5 Cyl Rotor (Reluctor) is 1237 011 110 (No Audi/VW #). Fits 5 cylinder Audis and VW Quantums shown above. This Hall unit does NOT fit Vanagons of any year, at least according to Bosch. -- Jim Thompson 84 Westfalia 2.1 "Ole Putt" 73 K Ghia Coupe "Denise" 72 411 Station Wagon "Pug" oldvolkshome@gmail.com http://www.oldvolkshome.com ********************************** On 11/17/05, TC <trclark@shaw.ca> wrote: > > can you also tell us if > 1 230 500 221; the connector has 1 230 329 036 > are also yet another compatible hall sender for vanagon hall senders > > pic is here > > http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/AUDI-4000-Quattro-HALL-SENDER-New-FACTORY-BOS > > CH-Part_W0QQitemZ8015629353QQcategoryZ6763QQssPageNameZWD1VQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewI > tem > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Old Volks Home" <oldvolkshome@GMAIL.COM> > To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> > Sent: Tuesday, November 15, 2005 4:08 PM > Subject: Re: hall sender in the audi 4000 same as vanagon 83-85 > 237-011-050 > ?? > > > 1237 011 050 & 1237 011 080 (don't forget the "1" before the rest of the > number or you get something else!) are the same Hall unit, but the 080 > does > not come with the rotor (also called the reluctor).
