Even the factory VW updated slider hub DOES crack...The ones I use are the ones from Australia and they have radiused slots and are made of higher strength gear tooth material...Chris of Weddle has them custom built for him...good fit & finish and well over a hundred installed by me with no issues over the years...The problem is more apparent with heavier rigs I think as more stresses are put on the gears and related parts..
