i examined them and others when i was looking at heaters. the idea of a coolant heater with a separate heater coil and coolant reservoir

is what i was looking at. i have seen other do it with the coolant heaters. two minuses for me first was the heavy money outlay second was the heavy current draw of both fan and water pump for extended use.

for the air heater model it had advantages but the cost was out of my

budget. battery draw was much less. those little fuel pumps draw next to nothing. basically the same fuel pump on the vanagon aux heater.

even in their brochure they mention that you should not run it for more than a certain time or you will drain the battery. they also mention to run the engine for at least as long as you ran the heater.
