Using and installing tire chains is an art. The chains are purchased to match the associated tire size. If you are so inclined, you can get four, but two should be satisfactory to get you (and the Syncro) either through the snow or in a position that you will need to leave it until the spring thaw or pay an arm and a leg to get it pulled out. Hello Volks,

I will be travelling out to Portland right through the Rocky Mountains and I'm told a lot of roads require tire chains. Are these OK to use on a syncro? Do you do all four wheels? Any recomendations? How snug do chains fit if I ever decide to change tire sizes?

Chris

P.S, I have 215/65-15 Michelin Agilis Tires on 15" SA Rhein wheels.
