Yeah, I've never seen a full arm wave either, except from close friends and family. Though there was an exuberant family in a vanagon who cheered and waved to see my red vanagon cruising the main drag through town about six months ago. I count it among my most elevated vanagon experiences, wish all vanagon drivers were that enthusiastic. Most van owners in town don't react unless they are in the same color van as the one I'm driving, then I get a you-stole-my-car look of shock for a second or two. But where I live is nothing like out in the country.
